Meet Ashley
Our team would not be complete without our in-house Graphic Designer, Ashley! When she’s not busy crafting beautiful emails and printed materials, she’s often assisting Mahalia with our website design and graphics. We’re so grateful for Ashley’s artistic eye and standard of excellence. Her love of good coffee, roller skating, and the great outdoors makes her a natural fit within our beloved community of Art of Skin Care women.
Q: What is your position at Art of Skin Care?
A: Graphic Designer
Q: What’s your daily skin routine like?
A: I start my skin routine by washing my face with Rhonda Allison Brightening Cleanser, then gently apply Le Mieux Essence Toner and finish with Sorella Apothecary Tropical Topical Matte SPF. In the evenings I use the same products but swap the SPF for Nelly De Vuyst Organic Bio Tense Cream. I also like to use this lotion under my SPF on days when I am feeling a little dry.
Q: What is your skin type?
A: Normal and sensitive.
Q: What are your skincare concerns?
A: Since my skin is sensitive to certain products, I like to keep things simple. That applies to both my routine and the ingredients used in the products I am applying. I avoid anything with harsh chemicals and do my best to create a routine that is sustainable for me and the planet.
Q: Where is your dream vacation spot?
A: Somewhere lush and woodsy with a tranquil body of water to go swimming in.
Q: Coffee or tea? And why?
A: Both! Coffee, because caffeine, and tea as an herbal remedy.
Q: Where can we find you when you’re not at work?
A: Tucked away in the woods camping with friends, or out at the skate park.
Q: When you were little, what did you want to be?
A: A jungle explorer. I've always had an affinity for animals and nature alike. To this day I have a growing collection of rocks and crystals that I started when I was five.
Q: What would your last meal be?
A: A burrito from La Taqueria in SF!
Q: What’s your ‘can’t-live-without’ item?
A: My roller skates.
Q: What’s your go-to midnight snack?
A: Toast with peanut butter and honey.
Q: What’s the one TV show you never miss?
A: The series has long-since finished, but my favorite TV show is Six Feet Under.
Q: What’s your biggest guilty pleasure?
A: Taking the center slice of cake, pizza, lasagna, you name it.
Q: If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
A: Having the ability to divide and be able to live out any and all options at any time.
Q: What’s your go-to karaoke song?
A: No Scrubs by TLC.
Q: Would you rather have unlimited sushi or unlimited tacos for life?
A: Tough choice... but unlimited tacos.
Q: What three things would you have on a deserted island?
A: Chosen family, those unlimited tacos, and my cats!
